On a single night in 2019, 35,038 unaccompanied youth were counted as homeless. Of those, 89 percent were between the ages of 18 to 24. The remaining 11 percent (or 3,976 unaccompanied children) were under the age of 18.
My mission is to help break this cycle of youthful homelessness by helping aged out foster children.
The foster system has an astonishing 98% mental health plague that is simply unacceptable. These children have a chance to go into this world and become a success even if there is 18 years of bad luggage in tow. We are here to help change the negative trajectory by showing them love, building life skills and letting them know how valuable they are as humans. Not only to us but also to their maker.
