Honestly, I have been witnessing degrading, massive fallout on many congregations and churches I have been part of. It is hard to quantify the effect of culture, teaching of the church, people, or personal intricacies in this fallout. But one thing has been very very clear and common amongst all. If you learned it wrong, You have to unlearn first, before new things can be taught. Adding, improving, adjusting, ... only adds to the complexity and speed of fallout. If we could have a clear definiton of Gospel, and stick with it at all costs, we would be less susceptible to mis-interpretation, and will stop creating our own little kingdom with our own man-made Gospel. People insist on following their own theology while observing their lives clearly show how people, one after the other, walk away from them. Anyway, in short, Definition of Gospel of Jesus is extremely crucial and fundamentals.
I wrote a whole chapter called “The Gospel of Christ” in my book “Blessings & Curses: if my people…” to define what the Gospel is that Yeshua Himself taught. I am painfully aware of- and agonize over how the “Owners Manuel” and Abba’s Name are misused to help people “grow closer to God” or “Go deeper in the WORD by buying the ‘stuff’ being sold with such marketing promises. 💔😢🙏😔

Something more concrete
Like a definition of Gospel not allowing any such and such add ons…..
Clear statement of which commandments are being followed and which forgotten
Statement of leadership description in the covenant. And examples of illegal types we see today
Boundaries in $$ of money coming in and book sales
Or other economic misdirections
reminding of who is my neighbor
