Amazing... This is genuinely one of the best articulation of the balance between legalism and license, and what it means to live in grace. Thank you for writing.

You just rocked my world brother. Such a concise blessing for the masses if they're willing to hear it. You've certainly stretched my understanding of things in profound ways. Thanks for the iron on iron.

Wow that was a deep and eye opening message it really makes you pause and reflect on how easily human nature tries to reshape God’s Word instead of submitting to it From the garden of Eden until now that same temptation whispers Did God really say Genesis 3:1 We still struggle between control and comfort between legalism and lawlessness when all God asks is simple trusting obedience You said it perfectly obedience isn’t about earning favor it’s about surrender Jesus said in John 14:15 If you love Me keep My commandments Love leads to obedience not out of fear or pride but from relationship That’s the heart of true discipleship Paul reminded the church in Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind When we stop trying to manage God’s truth and instead let it transform us we begin to live in that balance grace with truth love with holiness Your words about Shabbat touched me too God knew our tendency to overwork and overthink so He commanded rest not as a burden but as a reminder that He’s in control Be still and know that I am God Psalm 46:10 May we learn to listen again to truly Shema to hear and obey because as James 1:22 says Be doers of the word and not hearers only That’s where freedom and peace are found not in rewriting His Word but in walking humbly with it

Very excellent, well said.

As a member of that gentile church,

I love the way you tied all that in to the Sabbath, to bring us back to balance:

to give us a day that we need to stop, to devote ourselves to simply listening.

Thank you brother

I would borrow several of your quotes, but people who know me would think I went to the dark side of AI or old fashioned plagiarism. I will be sharing your words with my more intellectual friends…
