Well, I don't know what to say!

I do think I get the "drift" of what is being stated, but the language in which it is communicated is well...... beyond me, and only contributes to somewhat of a confusion. I like simple English words, I am not into this sort of cultural modern day lango.

This I can say....."what's the deal"?

Sergio,

That was me trying to be funny. When I'm serious, I do think you know when I am. I'm just trying to show I do have a sense of humour. Maybe I should give up.

Oh by the way, I'll take a hug.......chocolates.....I'm picky.....expensive ones......okay!

Who is "Shawn".

Maybe I should just be my serious no kidding around, insecure nurd. What do you think?

I'm sorry if this offended you, I do not think your evil. seriously.....

Itโ€™s been a long day. John got me going, I overreacted. I apologize. I appreciate you Cal.

I appreciate you articulating your position very well here. I still have my disagreements, largely because I think I have a different idea of what Judaism is and where it came from than I think you do. I don't see Passover as "Jewish", and I don't think anyone would have considered it in that light until WELL after the split post-Solomon. I don't think there's anything wrong with lighting candles on Shabbat and I certainly wouldn't attack anyone for it. We've all gotta go where Abba leads us, and I haven't been led in that direction. But you have and I don't see anything wrong with that because you're obviously not one to elevate tradition to the level of instruction.

Shalom, my man!

Samuel,

I owe you an apology for not being crystal clear: Yeshua was a Jewish Jew, fully immersed in Torah, often aligned with the Phariseesโ€™ core. My oversightโ€”sorry. I love your gracious reply, even where we differ. You tie Passover and Judaism to a post-Solomon split. I see it from Exodus 12:14: โ€œa statute forever.โ€ Yeshua owns it in Luke 22:15: โ€œIโ€™ve earnestly desired to eat this Passover.โ€ Itโ€™s Israelโ€™s DNA, not a later labelโ€”my Messianic faith plants there.

Hebrew Roots as some distinct thing? Thatโ€™s just manโ€™s categorical logic slicing up whatโ€™s wholeโ€”Yeshua wasnโ€™t that; He was Jewish through and through.

Youโ€™re cool with my Shabbat candlesโ€”thanksโ€”and said we follow Abbaโ€™s lead. Mine honor Yeshua, not rules. Heโ€™s Pharisaic on resurrection (John 11:25, โ€œI am the resurrectionโ€); Paul echoes it (Acts 23:6-8). Torahโ€™s His backbone (Matthew 5:17, โ€œnot to abolish but fulfillโ€), not their hypocrisy (Mark 7:8-9). Hanukkah? Heโ€™s there (John 10:22-23). Tzitzit? He wears it (Matthew 9:20). Thatโ€™s why The Wayโ€™s custom-dumpingโ€”and some Christian shrugsโ€”stings. Romans 14:5-6 grants liberty: โ€œBe convinced in your own mind.โ€ I am. Why ditch the root (Romans 11:18)?

Weโ€™re close, brother. Youโ€™re not shruggingโ€”youโ€™re wrestling.

Iโ€™d love your take on Judaismโ€™s roots. Ephesians 4:2-3 calls for humility, bearing with each other. My candles, my prayersโ€”they bridge me to Him, not chain me. Can we honor that Olive Tree together?

I don't have much time here because I have to go to work, but I should clarify what I meant with the Passover thing. Yes, it's in Exodus and further, it's a command from Yah...but it existed BEFORE Judaism. It would have been ridiculous for Moses or Aaron to call it Jewish, and probably would have drawn some ire from many people in other tribes. I never tied Passover to a post-Solomon split - only Judaism.

Gotta run. I hope my initial comment makes a bit more sense now.

Somewhere, Paul says, "lighten up, they don't work for you, they serve Yeshua." Or something like that. If you're walking in faith, the Lord will bless you. [I'm just too lazy tonight to look it up.] >grin<

RE: That was Yeshuaโ€™s Holy Spirit in me vainly trying to be funny. come on manโ€ฆ

Torah-observant Judeo-Xian crew, youโ€™re so close. Honor your Jewish kin who obediently take up their daily cross in Messiahโ€™s Commonwealth of Israel. The holy theocratic culture of their daily cross-bearing pilgrimage, man! The theocratic sheep fold of Messiahโ€™s Olive Tree Ekklesia is waiting. Can the digitally-marked souls (SS#) of our Jewish kin (i.e. the self-willed goats and sheep-skin clothed wolves in Satanโ€™s democratic Synagogue) self righteously root or engraft themselves into itโ€”Socialistically secured and patriotically united together within the Marxist Beastโ€™s UN Global Village?

The unceasing โ€˜roboticโ€™ prayer from the โ€˜new wineskinโ€™ hearts of dependent wise virgins in Messiahโ€™s Bride is: Father Elohim, not the autonomous democratic self-will of my crucified flesh, but Your holy will be always โ€˜roboticallyโ€™ done with me on earth, as it is theocratically done in Heaven. The heart-transplant Gospel of Ezekiel 36:25-27.

The carnal-minded prayer from the reprobate โ€˜old wineskinโ€™ hearts of independent foolish virgins from Messiahโ€™s Bride is: Lord G-d please bless the self-righteous โ€˜free willedโ€™ choices autonomously made by my self-willed flesh, that I may prosper on earth and make you proud of my un-crucified Jude-Xian democratic life.

Wow, dude, I say โ€˜that was me trying to be funny, come on man,โ€™ and you somehow transmogrify it into โ€˜Yeshuaโ€™s Holy Spirit in me vainly trying to be funnyโ€™? Whatโ€™s next, you gonna quote me ordering a sandwich as โ€˜Thus saith the Lord, give me pastrami on ryeโ€™? My actual words were a casual jab, not some theological treatiseโ€”your remix sounds like a rejected script from a low-budget Bible movie.

Hereโ€™s the kicker: if youโ€™re so Torah-observant, why are you putting words in my mouth like a ventriloquist with a Messiah complex? Deuteronomy 4:2 says not to add to the word, yet here you are, slapping a Holy Spirit sticker on my one-liner. Counterintuitive logic for youโ€”if Iโ€™m supposedly so off-base, whyโ€™s your version of me sound like itโ€™s trying harder to impress than a goat in a sheepskin tuxedo? Maybe stick to the script next time, manโ€”mine was short, sweet, and didnโ€™t need a divine ghostwriter.
