How should I study the Bible?
Like a Berean. In Acts 17:11, a group called the Bereans is praised because they checked the Scriptures every day to test what even the apostle Sha'ul was telling them. They did not just take his word for it; they went and looked for themselves.
Do the same. Ask of every passage: what did this actually say, in its own language, to the people who first heard it? Do not start with a conclusion and then go hunting for verses to back it up. Start with the text and follow where the evidence leads. And test every teacher, including this one, against Scripture itself.
