Have you considered my people, Adam & Eve?

The amazing wisdom of the Father’s plan

The Lord gave me a revelation a few years back which has filled my life with joy. I’ve never seen or heard anything like it, so I have to wonder. But, I’m convinced that it is not heresy—that it is in fact the Truth.

This essay was triggered this morning by a statement made by Diane in one of her weekly scripture studies. It’s well designed, well written, pretty standard stuff. But the statement she made offhand, smacked me between the eyes again.

Her lesson is on Genesis 1 & 2 about the creation of man and Psalm 24, “Who is this King of glory? I loved her ideas about the Lord placing man (in His image) in the Garden as a statement of His rule as King of Creation.

My contention is that we all tend to sell the Father short, not realizing how masterfully wise He truly is. The following paragraph is copied from her PDF. It gets me to where I am supposed to start today.

"Eden is what things look like when God’s rule is operating fully. Humanity’s commission was to extend that flourishing outward until the whole earth reflected the character of the King. That commission didn’t disappear when we failed. The whole sweep of Scripture from Abraham to Sinai to David to

It was all part of the original plan

Let me make two seemingly horrendous statements:

  • It was sad & horrible. But, Adam and Eve did what was necessary for God’s plan to work as He has planned. We must remember that Yeshua’s role as Messiah was planned before the foundation of the world. 1 peter 1:19-20
  • As we saw in Job, the Father uses Satan as His designated nasty guy—tempter. But Satan was under very tight control. He wasn’t allowed to kill Adam or Eve. His orders were specific.

I’m certain that Satan saw it as the beginning of a way to completely thwart God’s plans and earn the respect he deserved, so he could be god. Because he surely deserved to be God. Look at how wonderful he was. Foolish fallen angel!

But as HaShem saw it. It was one of the opening rounds of His plan to produce friends and family who freely chose to love Him and serve Him. People who genuinely loved Him, who wanted to have an intimate relationship with Him.

This is the reason, or one of the main reasons, why He decided to create the universe—our disposable training ground. Our amazing Creator put all of His effort into creating us, to be His intimate companions.

It’s hard to imagine how incredible the real deal will be, when He creates the New Heaven and the New Earth. He had to create us, discover who loved Him, and all the rest before the New Creation was possible.

What an amazing King you are, Father!
