Is the Torah abolished, or still for believers today?
It was never abolished. Yeshua (Jesus) said it as plainly as He could: He did not come to abolish the Torah but to fill it full, to show what it looks like lived out perfectly (Matthew 5:17). He kept it His whole life.
People assume the new covenant means a brand-new set of rules that erased the old ones. But the promise was never to delete God's instruction. It was to move it, to write it on your heart instead of on stone, so that obeying comes from the inside out (Jeremiah 31:33). Moshe (Moses) said the command was never too hard or out of reach; it is close to you, in your mouth and your heart, so you can actually do it (Deuteronomy 30:11-14).
So the Torah is not a heavy burden grace freed you from. It is a good Father's instruction for how to live, and grace is what finally makes you able to keep it.
