What does "Hebraic-first" actually mean?
Read every text in its original language, to its original audience, in its original context, before any later framework. The Tanakh speaks first; Greek and Western categories come after.
It means reading every passage the way its first audience would have heard it, before centuries of later interpretation got layered on. The one question we bring to any text is simple: what did this word mean in its original language, to the original readers, in their real situation?
The Hebrew Scriptures come first and set the meaning. The Greek of the New Testament is read through that Hebrew background, not the other way around. And the later Western, philosophical categories come last, if they belong at all. Hebrew thought is concrete, relational, and down to earth. When you read it through abstract Greek philosophy, a lot of the original meaning quietly slips away.
